Frequently Asked Questions
Does G&H Claims report violations to OSHA?
G&H Claims Professionals does not report any findings to OSHA or any other government agency. In an effort to provide reassurance, we offer a Confidentiality Agreement as part of our services.
Is this service offered only to insurance companies?

Not exclusively.  Because of the importance of safety and hazard recognition in the workplace, G&H Claims is extending these services to the general public as well.

Doesn't OSHA have a Consultation Program that performs OSHA compliance inspections at no cost?

Using an OSHA funded free Consultation Service  does enable employers to identify potential hazards in the workplace and improve their Occupational Safety & Health Management Systems. This service is delivered by state governments using well trained professional staff and is primarily targeted for smaller businesses. Because the consultation program is separate from the OSHA inspection effort, no citations are issued or penalities posed. However, to utilize this service, you obligagte yourself to correct serious job safety and health hazards within an assigned time frame. A follow up inspection is performed. Failure to abate the hazard(s) will result in the consultation specialist reporting the serious hazard(s) to OSHA for further corrective action.

G&H Claims Professionals will identify potential workplace hazards and assist the employer in identifying and abating these hazards. Following inspection, G&H Claims will provide the employer with a report very similar to those issued by OSHA, which includes photographs of the hazard, the OSHA Standard(s) that applies to the hazard, and suggestions in correcting the hazard. G&H Claims can not cite an employer for violations, and no violations are reported to OSHA. Therefore, should a serious violation be found, although we encourage the hazard to be corrected as quickly as possible, the employer is not under a limited time restraint to abate the hazard as they would be under the Consultation Program.
